Sylvan Francis

Francis, 47, joins us this season from Colorado. Francis started riding horses at the age of six. He started riding horses while working the summers on a cattle ranch. He loves riding horses because he finds the friendship he develops with the horse to be rewarding. He loves his job as a tour guide, and he finds it easier than working on a cattle ranch because cattle tend not to laugh at his jokes. His funniest horse "tale" took place when he was working at a cattle ranch. The calf he was trying to catch ran in all different directions and the horse he was riding did the same thing causing Francis to come flying off the horse. In the wintertime, he installs computerized conveyer systems for distribution centers. When Francis is not riding horses, he enjoys fishing, riding motorcycles, leatherwork, and serving as a hunting guide.
